Pulled 365×3 yesterday and squatted 260×5 at 170 BW. Great week of training overall, looking forward to my first competition in November

Spent last week in Miami and then played catch up this week, so my training was kind of random.
Squat PR of 8 x 105 kg, which was a rep PR at 105 kg.
Still playing with high rep snatch sets where I have to attempt a certain number of reps regardless of whether I make them or miss them. I went 7 for 11 at 65 kg on Saturday, so I moved on to 70 kg this week. I am nowhere near being able to attempt 10 at 70 kg yet, so I started with 5 attempts. I went 1 for 5 both times this week at 70 kg.

I’ll be lifting in the Ohio State Weightlifting meet this weekend. This is my first meet, I’ll let everyone know how it goes
315# x 2 front squat. Felt like there could’ve been 1-2 more there but was training at 5 am and couldn’t bring the rain – just summoned a light shower.

Squat 200kg / 440# – PR for this year
Bench 135kg / 297# – Comp legal PR 140kg / 308# with a little hip lift
Deadlift 265kg / 584# – All Time PR. Missed 600# at the knee.

This last week was awesome for PR’s for me I hit 405 for 5 reps (3 rep pr) on the skwat! deadlift 445 (10lb PR done sumo my 435 was conventional) for a single over head press 200 (25lb PR) for a double then single and friday night I benched an easy 300 (25lb PR) for a single. Two things I think I have for this success I think I have been doing better than ever before on getting enough protein consistently, i started using creatine and I grew a beard.
Question: anybody do calf work and what kinds? Is there any carryover other than having muscle development? Ive got some skinny ass calves!
