Contest Update

The Novembeardly challenge is still going on. Get all your beard/burly pics in, and then we can vote/evaluate them and get a contest winner. Also, the results from the Thanksgiving weight gain festivities will be calculated.

I had a post all typed out for today, yet I determined it would be much better with video. In addition to that, I have a post coming about those of you that appreciate the benefits of strength, but may only be concerned with “looking great”. Here’s a preview:
“Hey man, I’m more of a Corvette; I’m made to look great in the garage instead of going out and performing on the road.”
–Shawn, to me after feeling the effects of our workout last Saturday
Stay tuned for more.

To ready you for the Novembeardly submissions, take a gander at this pic. WildCard1989 sent it to me, and I don’t know if it’s him or not. The subject of the e-mail was, “Is this manly enough for ya?”

I also can’t believe it’s real, because that mama bear in the background would be severing some heads.

  1. First. I really, really hope that picture is real, because it would be awesome.

Also, I went from 186.0 (morning) to 194.0 (evening) on Sunday. Not sure what I did on Thanksgiving proper, I didn’t get a chance to weigh myself. Not like it really matters, as I won’t win.

  2. I’m with you TheMuck. I started novemburly late and only 2 weeks in. I’m keeping this till januburly. (couldn’t think of anything to put with January lol)

  3. If someone thinks a Corvette isn’t made to perform, they are a fucking moron. Over 1g on the skidpad, fastest standing mile at Bonneville for a production vehicle, 3.1 0-60, 7:20something lap around the Nurburgring, low 11’s and 130mph trap speeds in the quarter mile…plus the LS series motors are the first engines EVER (no european car or japanese could do it) to produce over 400hp and not require a gas guzzler tax because they are so efficient thanks largely to their cyl. head design.
I realize your friend was just trying to make a point, and most people don’t give a shit, but I most certainly do give a shit when it comes to accuracy about cars/engines.
    Looking forward to the post.

  4. Manuary sounds like an awesome idea. Being a Texan, I love shooting things, so this sounds right up my alley.

Im glad someone spoke up about the vette. What an engineering marvel. If only I had the money… its the Tits in my book.

Shawn has a history of saying things that don’t make sense.
