Milestones

Nice work, young padawan

Well, he’s done it folks. Paul, a regular commenter on the site, has finally become an adult male. He e-mailed me today, and he finally weighs 200 pounds. Nice job, Paul.

Also, Zach, one of my pals at the WFAC, hit the 200 pound mark today as well. He came here as a 162 pound disgruntled fitness gym goer, and now he’s a decently strong adult. I’ve personally witnessed Zach drinking two gallons of milk in one day. Two. He gained 38 pounds in two months folks. You aren’t even trying to eat.

Paul also sent me pictures of his homemade creation: a grilled cheese bacon cheeseburger. Observe:

To go along with Wednesday””s accomplishments, my friend AC benched 330 for three sets of five. To get an idea of how stupid that is, he only weighs 205. Oh, and I””ll remind you he””s only 20 years old.

AC knows he has to amp his eating up, so he took some pictures of yesterday””s breakfast. As you can see, he went all out.

2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of toast, PB&J, 2 chicken breasts, and 32 oz of milk with coffee flavored syrup

  1. Those burgers look awesome. Funfetti cake is awesome. AC”s bench compared to his bodyweight is awesome. AC”s breakfast is awesome. There”s just too much awesome.

  2. I hate you guys….. If I look at a pile of mashed potatoes or a PB&J I gain 3 pounds. I”m trying like mad to keep it under 300.

I need to get my lifts to match my weight, so I can be a strong fat guy and not just a fat guy.

Good job to all who are becoming men.

  3. Thanks Justin, and I am shooting for 250 now per your requirement. As for the burgers, I am going to experiment some more with the next go around. Thinking the grilled cheeses will be done with chipotle mayo and pepperjack and the burger will have pepperjack, bacon and avacado. I”ll make sure to take some pics.

  4. Nice work gentlemen. Those pics make me hungry, except A.C.s breakfast would be soo much better were it covered in gravy.
Anyone know where the best place to get a singlet is?

  5. “pain-in-the-ass strong”…A.C., You”re an asshole and I mean that in the best possible way. Killer lifts, that Deadlift video was awesome, loved seeing all the people watching you pull that shit.

  6. With all this food talk, we need to have a Tex-Mex day… I killed some Lupe”s fajitas last night and they were quite enjoyable. Any one else from the Houston area care to back me up on this?

A.C., have you been keeping food and training logs? you are a strong (and lean) guy and I”m wondering how long you”ve been training/eating like this…

  7. Do the minimum manly weight requirements take at all into account height? I”m 5 foot 7, and 200 lbs would be a pretty meaty accomplishment. I”d be happy to look like Andy Bolton if it means I can dead 1000 lbs, but otherwise, I”m not sure. I was thinking 180 would be more appropriate, but what do I know?

    Cheers!

  8. WannaBBurly – I have a training log, but I dont write down what I eat. I probably should, but I don”t. I have other shit to do. Like pretend I actually do my HW.

I have been training like this for about 6 months, but I have been lifting since I was like 14. I am fortunate enough to be one of the strong guys, with that said it doesn”t mean I don”t work my balls off.

The singlet was just for the picture. Or was it?

  9. “I hate you guys….. If I look at a pile of mashed potatoes or a PB&J I gain 3 pounds.” – Rocks

This made me laugh because I”m the exact same way.

AC – I remember reading in another post on this site that you were eating a lot of the same stuff day to day. Would you be willing to post kind of a rough outline of your eating on training days and off days?

  10. I’m gonna go ahead and say that one thing AC is not good at is eating. He is very good at lifting, very good at wearing singlets, very good at growing chops, and very good at not growing chest hair.

But, one thing he is not good at is eating. He is my best friend, but his advice on the matter is moot.

  11. I think it”d just be interesting to see the variation in peoples diets on this site. There”s already a few that have been posted, I was just curious to see his as well. Hopefully people would understand that just because it has worked well for him up to this point doesn”t mean they can follow it exactly and expect the same result.

  12. Yeah if you want to know what I eat thats fantastic, but you shouldn”t listen to my advice on it.

Basically I eat a lot of tuna, ice cream, milk, eggs, bacon, sausage, chicken, chili, grapes, stuffing, and various foods from take-out chinese places.

  13. I can”t wait, eggnog season is almost upon us! An 8oz glass of the stuff has 344 calories and 9.6 grams of protein. I drink it by the pint during the holidays. I”m thinking 220 by Christmas could be a reality.

  14. I haven”t checked every possible location, but I am positive that the supermarkets here don”t carry eggnog year round. I came to this discovery a few years ago when my addiction started and once winter ended there was none to be found (hasn”t even showed up yet for this holiday season). For all I know it could be some stupid law made by the liberals here to try and keep us “healthy”. Minnesota sounds like a magical place now.

  15. We are the same in south Louisiana concerning the egg nog. Holiday season only. I have a feeling it has to do with the fact that its 80 degrees at night almost year round, and I imagine Minnesota is some sort of arctic tundra where only snowmen and Santa”s elves live.
