Sort of a 70’s Big Females post
People who train, workout, or are active have a different perception of what is attractive and what isn’t. Those who don’t do anything at all — like fat people — think that anything without fat is good, and extremely skinny is exemplary.
For example, Zuzana from Body Rock is a pretty girl who has no body fat whatsoever and fake tits. Fat and average women and men think she is the greatest thing to walk the Earth. Anybody that has trained, has a decent set of musculature (non-bulky for women, of course), and is kinda strong sees Zuzana for what she is; a skinny chick with fake hooters. Is she pretty? Sure. Would all my male readers want to bang her regardless? Yes, but they would literally bang 98% of the world’s female population if no one else would ever learn about it (implying that there is only 2% of the world’s population that they would actually deny, mostly involving your grandmother and niece).
Besides, when one of the readers barges in the comments saying how they perceive Zuzana to be optimal, they are not very big or strong anyway. And if they are, they are the minority of those that are kinda big or strong.
Just because a skinny body image is preferred by most people — those who don’t train — doesn’t make it preferable. That’s like saying if there is 10,000 people in a cult who like to murder puppies then it’s okay to murder puppies (it is not) so long as you believe the same thing as this cult. Groupthink is so pathetic it’s funny (unless puppies are at harm).
In reality, it isn’t difficult for a chick to “have a nice body” (Note: For those of you women who train to be strong and able, I apologize that you have to suffer through this. If you fucking sent me messages/pictures/videos then I would have some material to work with). By merely eating a non-vegetarian diet with quality meats and doing calisthenic based exercise, most chicks can “lean up” and garner a little muscle to be “toned” since calisthenics are more than just going to work and watching E!. Don’t believe me? The WildGorillaMan supplies pictures of women who do this very thing every day.
If a girl doesn’t want to lift weights, then she doesn’t have to. She should only do a program that she’s going to be enthusiastic about, but that doesn’t mean she should avoid learning what program is actually going to help her. A lady doesn’t have to do a straight linear progression — she can do calisthenics or conditioning after lifting EVERY DAY. The lifting won’t take long in the beginning anyway, it won’t interfere with recovery, and she’ll feel more accomplished. The hard part is getting her to realize that being skinny isn’t attractive.
+1 for Austin Powers reference.
I personally think 6 pack/visible abs on a chick is kind of unattractive.
I actually don’t know the Austin Powers reference. What did I say?

You realize that 70sbig would be the cult in this case, since the majority of the U.S. (maybe world, I don’t know) find skinny girls attractive.
If wanting women to be healthy, strong, and able instead of under-eating, emaciated, and weak is a cult-like groupthink then I’m guilty.

@Justin
The title, Fembots were sexy human looking robots designed to seduce and destroy Austin.
Oh, yeah, haha. I forgot what I titled the post. I thought I made an “in-post” reference.

We should start a petition to outlaw breast reduction surgeries, and simply promote strength training exercises to provide adequate back support for God’s bounty.
I’m sure 99% of the women getting reductions have never done a deadlift. Going under the knife if you don’t have to isn’t prudent. Then again, plenty of fat people get liposuction…
Does anyone know about resolving this sort of back pain with strength training? I’m curious.
I would agree with you. How heavy could large breasts be? Are there any stats on that? Let’s say they are 2 pounds each, 4 total. Let’s say it requires thoracic and lumbar exertion to hold 4 pounds up on the chest. I doubt it’s 4 pounds, maybe 3, but let’s use it for the example.
That means that if you increased your absolute strength far beyond the threshold of supporting 4 pounds, then pain would be eliminated. In other words, by getting stronger or being strong, hooters won’t be making anyone’s back sore.

I’ve seen a LOT of women say that they consider Zuzana to be “bulky” and “too muscular”.
haha that Austin Power reference was fucking gold
For the record, I have several friends who have had breast reduction surgery. They had between 8- 12 pounds of tissue removed and they left plenty of bounty behind! It’s no joke.
That said, none of them deadlifts either :)
On another note, I worked on the Biggest Loser finale last week, and yesterday I got a text from one of the women who lost almost 50% of her body weight. She is starting a weight lifting program this week! She wants a “Rachel Squat Booty”! I feel like I have truly contributed something to this world :)
@Erica
I’ll hazard a guess – ladies might find her too muscular because she is too damn lean.
If she put on 15 pounds (or whatever), she’d still look “toned” but considerably better and less manly.
Zuzana made her living the adult industry before becoming a youtube tease.
Charles and Justin – I dated a girl for a while who had a large chest and crippling back pain from it. I suggested deadlifts (I had just began strength training, myself) but she never took heed.
Back pain isn’t the only reason women get breast reductions, its just the one they write on the insurance forms. Its pretty expensive to clothe truly large breasts- you have to shop specialty stores for bras, its very difficult to find a decent sports bra that’s even semi-comfortable. Most off the rack clothing doesn’t fit without tailoring, and even then it can be hard to find styles that aren’t too revealing on a larger chest. Plus the majority of people you meet objectify you and make assumptions about your personality and intelligence.
Body modification is a pretty personal thing – and even weightlifting is a form of body modification. So while deadlifting would indeed likely moderate back pain in such a situation, its impossible for anyone to be aware of all the reasons a person chooses a radical body mod like surgery. So lets’ avoid any silly, extreme comments about “outlawing” something you don’t happen to agree with.
Real Talk
Thank you for this. I’m so sick of people expecting that I will look like this, and either (i) demonstrating disappointment that I don’t, or (ii) cautioning me that if I keep lifting, I will inevitably look like this. Both are, of course, fucking ridiculous.
On another note: I agree with everything that keysburg says above and with the deadlifting suggestions. I would also like to point out that doing any serious amount of benching will very likely decrease the size (but not the quality) of one’s rack.
Has anyone noticed the size of the women they enjoy increase with their mass?
Boobs are awesome
What’s wrong with being as lean as Zuzana is that boobs go away completely. Jamie Eason has the same problem. To resolve this, they get fake boobs.
I’m just gonna take a stab in the dark and guess that if you get so lean that your once-present boobs completely disappear because you got so lean, then you’re too lean for healthy hormonal function.
Zuzana is smokin’, but yes she does need to fatten up a little. I suggest some cheeseburgers.
To be fair, Penn, Jaimie Eason had breast cancer.
I <3 girls who squat.
Yes, cqdanforth.
And I’ve seen t he regression of it as w ell. People who had lifted and gained muscular bodyweight losing their mass from detraining and then finding women far skinnier than they used to attractive.
@ Djay – did NOT know that.
I dont really understand nor agree with the heat towards Zuzanna. She is in excellent shape. Puts out a pretty honest and free product full of advice. Plus she really is in great shape. Honestly in better shape than 100% of the females who blab on other “Strength” sites. The only negative thing you guys can hold against her is a fucking boob job? I’m fucking done.
I know a few people who have had breast reduction surgery and, while back pain was a large part of it, there are definitely other factors. In addition to what keysburg said about it being expensive to buy clothes, it can also lead to some not so attractive clothing-related side effects. I know one woman who still has huge gouges in her shoulders from her bra straps digging into her under the weight of her breasts for so many years. I don’t think any women who have breast reductions get themselves knocked down to an A cup…most end up with still large, but far more manageable boobs.
“Yes, but they would literally bang 98% of the world’s female population if no one else would ever learn about it (implying that there is only 2% of the world’s population that they would actually deny, mostly involving your grandmother and niece).”
That is patently untrue! SOME of us have standards. It’s closer to 90%. ;)
We had a few women at our gym who believe that being super skinny is the pinnacle of what a woman should be. However, those same women are beginning to get quite competitive and are now trying to improve strength in order to keep up with some of the more curvy girls. Now that they’re wanting to improve their numbers (strength) significantly we’re seeing much better eating habits and progress with regards to the lifts.
Interestingly, when a curvy girl comes to the gym she wants to get mucked right in to moving weight, but the skinny girls are conditioning crazy. Personally, I don’t allow the skinny girls to do that and have them move weight and do super short conditioning sessions, but I can’t really stop them doing it when they’re away from us no matter what i say. I guess sometimes women just need time, and inspiration from their peers too.
amberc1110, you probably know more than I do about this, but… in my searching, one source claimed that much of the discomfort is from women wearing the wrong bra. I dated a 32F/G, and while she had trouble finding bras, she didn’t report much physical pain, despite a weak diet and an inactive lifestyle.
Pain aside, the other reasons seem to stem from body insecurity, over something that’s not unattractive. Sort of like tall girls wishing they were shorter. Resolving insecurity with surgery is a bit rash.
Unrelated, a pet peeve: people redefining what’s hot to include their flaws. Everyone has some unattractive features, like Megan Fox and her club thumbs. Accept it, yes, but don’t convince yourself that they’re just as hot as regular thumbs. I have polio calves, and I *know* they’re fugly, but it’s what I got.
I think there is an important distinction to make. Some women train in order to get skinny. Some women train for performance and that results in them being skinny. When I was super meth addict CrossFit skinny, I fell into that second category. I never wanted abs, but due to my training and diet, I ended up with them. Certainly, most people think that I look better now. But, again, I’m training for performance. I didn’t start gaining weight just to get my boobs back, but my boobs are back. That’s just the way it worked out. Skinny or fat, I am hardly lacking in self-esteem. The obsession with skinny does annoy the fuck out of me, and that is one reason I am so in-your-face with the continual changes in my body type and weight. It makes people uncomfortable, and it makes people think.
