Update: The link below is 540×2. Apparently I can’t embed anymore. I’ll have to look into that (Tell Justin).

Saw that last night. Had to take a picture.

Training is well. Benched 390×2 today. Much better bench day than two weeks ago. Still having issues with my shoulder. I realized since the left one is fudged up I tend to have lateral movement left to compensate. Trying to fix it during the warm-ups, but it shows during the work-sets.

I saw Lawless btw. It was real fucking sweet. Tom Hardy is becoming one of my favorite actors. I never put two and two together, but he was Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis. Didn’t realize it until I watched it again. Yes I grew up watching Star Trek: The Next Generation. My dad was real big into it. It’s weird how (my dad) someone can be a fucking badass and then watch nerdy shit like that.

Just cause . . .

  1. I think most interesting people have a certain degree of inherent nerdiness. You have to be cool to have an appreciation for the depth, complexity, and passion found in a fanciful story or saga.

    -that’s what I tell myself.

lol you’re explanation is dead on.

  2. Shia LaBoof wasn’t annoying? or the accents?

Well he always sucks. He’s just degrees of “Huge Pussy” in his movies. Tom Hardy is good with accents so it’s not a problem.

  3. have you seen “Bronson?’ It’s a movie about Charles Bronson, the UK’s most famous inmate ever. it’s good for a number of reasons. Tom Hardy is the main character, he’s fucking huge in it, he speaks with a ridiculous Cockney accent, and his favorite thing to do is FSU.

Yeah I have seen it and read the book. Book is better because it tells more details, but the movie is obviously badass.

  4. I can’t stop looking at the cat.

Once you see it you stare.

  5. Yeah he was skinny as shit in Nemesis. I’m a total Star Trek nerd and I love throwing people off with that.

He was a good fake picard in that movie

  6. LOL @ picture. Fast and Sleazy now Fat and Easy! That place would print money it was so busy. Cat looks like it could be a LARGE rat.

  7. that was my nickname in highschool…

just joking it was Hulk Hoagie (cause I love sandwiches).

I’m so glad to hear Lawless was good. I want to see it.

    It’s worth it. Solid.

  8. Hey man, I noticed that you rarely use anything above 180 for your RDLs. Do you mind me asking why? My mate and I have been having a debate about this very issue, because I tend to do the same as you and he thinks I should be doing my RDL’s heavier, but I told him I have gone heavier but when I do I don’t feel that it hits my hamstrings as well – which is the whole point of the RDL, is it not? Cheers!

I don’t do a lot because I work nights on the weekends at a bar. My hamstrings won’t recover well. I am on my feet for 6-7 hours then we have to clean the whole bar and take out the trash. Don’t really get home/in bed til 4. Not a good way to recover from lifting. Doing too much for RDL’s and a bad recovery set-up over the weekend doesnt work for me. When I stop working at the bar I will increase the weight. When you go heavier you might change the way you do it, ever think of that? Sometimes I do the same.

    • Thanks for your reply! Yeah when I go heavier I definitely end up flexing my knees a bit more and use my back a bit more, so I just go as heavy as I can while maintaining maximum tension on my hamstrings and really feel them working. Thanks again man!

  9. Oppan Batman Style

Also that girl on your back doesn’t look like she’s 525 or 545.

  10. Did you throw up at the end of the squat video?

Also, what program are you on? I see you do a lot of doubles, but I’m not familiar with an “All Doubles” program?

Lastly, since you have a crazy good bench, what would you do if you’ve been on a linear progression type program, and several different times you stalled/capped at 185? My BW is 230.

  11. That squat looked way too easy for a double. I honestly think you could get 4-5 at that speed.
