Question Weekend

I don’t have much to post. Back to regular volume after a few days off. I’ll use this post to answer questions for the 4 people that check this blog. AND if you have any video requests. The full gallon challenge video will be done soon enough. We are waiting for the last two guys to do it and they are pushing it back each time. I know I said I would make a bench video explaining the set-up and I WILL FOR SURE make it Friday. I forget easy.

    • Oh okay, I thought it might be on Netflix. Are there any movies coming out that you’re looking forward to besides Dark Knight Rises? Prometheus looks like it’s going to be awesome.

      I think Michael Fassbender is an incredible actor and this is why. I am really looking forward to Prometheus. I’ll of course see spider-man. You just kinda have to and the Avengers.

  2. I recently switched my grip on bench from wide to close and I can actually do more with close grip. Do you know why that could be?

    Well I really don’t know the exact answer and it could be a variety of answers. It could be because a closer grip is more musculature or it could be that you are getting stronger simply because you ARE benching. I don’t exactly know what you’re benching looked like before. Most of the time a really wide grip doesn’t facilitate more muscular activity.

  3. From a vid of you pressing overhead it looks like you basically never let your elbows drift out, whereas most people I’ve seen seem to find it easier with a little flaring at the top. Do you think it’s better to keep them tucked in? Or did it just sort of happen that way?

    As far as I know I’ve been handsome for all my life, but keeping external rotation is key when you press. Your grip maybe a tad wide. Video?

    Speaking of bathroom phone pics, do you ever go to the bathroom and forget your cell phone and you instantly, as soon as you sit down after you realize you forgot it, think “o great now what am I going to do for the next 15-20 minutes” (I really take my time and fully relax when shitting) it’s like torture.

    Sometimes I feel like: “Fuck it, I just want to look big. Fuck actually being strong. Nobody but me cares how much I squat. I bet they don’t even know I squat/what a squat is. I’m just doing hypertrophy bodybuilder work at 50% from now on, FUCK IT!!! At this point I’m not much stronger than a bodybuilder anyway.”
    Ya’know? Anyone?

    • i hear ya brother…but when some oiled up brolio is in the squat rack doing his 1/2 squats and you walk up and crush his weight +150lb with full depth, it feels so good.

      But yea I hear ya, Justin did a post a while back and I echo his thoughts, I want to be strong as Mack truck, but I also want to look decent too.

      I think you can find a happy medium Daniel son.

    • I am having a hard time answering that. I have lifted weights in some form or another since I was 13. I started focusing on squat, bench and deadlift about 2-3 years ago.

      Don’t get too hard on yourself. I’ve been squatting/benching/deadlifting since I was 14.

    • I just got back from a business trip to the Midwest so I feel your pain. Had me a double deuce this morning that required a shower after the second round. Fucking fried cheese curds, man.
