Skinny Still Reigns

T-Bone linked this horrible article on facebook. Normally, I wouldn’t want such a website to get clicks from me, but you’ll have to see all the silly shit for yourselves.

Skinny-ass Gwyneth Paltrow

People call Tracy Anderson an “exercise genius”. Amendment: making people skinny, small, and weak makes you a torturous interrogator. Don’t they use the same techniques in third world countries? Barring sodomy or genital removal, this is one of the worst things you can do to someone.

And before any of you crazy assholes start ranting about how (allegedly) attractive Paltrow is, I will shut you up. When Gwynneth is on screen with other skinny people, you don’t see the relative skinniness. Also, the fact that she is on screen (TV, movie, your computer as you touch yourself, etc.) means that her value to you is elevated. Human beings are attracted to higher value targets. The combination of her screen time, your hand shandy time, and her standing next to other emaciated goons means that you think she’s more attractive than she already is. Okay, she has nice hair, I’ll give her that, but you or your girlfriend would too if you had millions of dollars and the best stylists available. The same goes for how someone’s face looks (makeup artists earn their money).

Haven’t you ever heard, “There is no such thing as ugly women, just lazy ones,”? In any case, any ol’ girl can be made into an attractive broad on screen via hair and makeup stylists. Paltrow is horribly skinny. And, if her nude body was lying underneath me, I’d look at it and say, “This could be better. I’m not impressed.” Those of you who disagree are either skinny yourselves, or just want to live out your hand shandy fantasy of banging someone you saw on screen.

Enough about Paltrown, I’m trying to make the point that Tracy Anderson is a terrorist. The author of the linked article has this to say about the diet:

Yet all this would have been bearable if it hadn’t been for the diet part of the regime. On the first week of the plan I’m only allowed to eat seven different foods, mostly blended…I don’t actually chew anything for a whole week.

What? I think Frank Abignale, Jr. ate better when he was a prisoner in France (and he was in a 5x5x5 cell with no waste disposal for his feces).

I am encouraged to weigh myself daily and measure my results with the ‘Tracy tape measure’ every ten days.

At first this made me feel quite uncomfortable but now I’m fanatical about my daily weigh-in and refuse to eat or drink anything until I know my weight first.

This sounds really fucking healthy.

Well, I’m no Gwynnie but since January I have lost a stone in weight and dropped from dress size 12 to 10. I am happier with my body than I have been for a long time. Those are the positives. On the downside I feel woozy and find it difficult to concentrate. At first I had loads of energy but now I’m always tired and am told I’m hor…ribly grouchy to boot. My skin is terrible and my nails are flaking and weak.

For fuck’s sake, HAS THE WHOLE WORLD GONE CRAZY?!? (LINK)

For the women reading this site: Keep getting stronger, ladies. And trust me when I tell you this: you are far more sexy and healthy than the dumb broads that follow the advice of terrorists like Tracy Anderson.

  1. Christ, next to that Rebecca girl in the article, Paltrow looks like an AIDS patient. Having the washboard chest of an 11 year old boy and a visible skeleton is not attractive.

  2. Here is the equation:

her thighs > your bicep = WIN!

    This skinny bullshit gotta stop!

Also – on the celebs without make-up site, Drew Berrymore looks alot like Johnny Depp when she has no make-up on….

  3. Hmmmmm that post didnt work at all!

her thighs should be bigger than your bicep – that was the point I was trying to make!

    I fixed it for ya.

  4. Not to mention Gwyneth announced last year that she was diagnosed with osteopenia (often a pre-cursor to osteoporosis). Lots of speculation that her years of whacked out eating habits have a something to do with it.

    Tracy Anderson is just evil.

  5. I am amazed that so many women still want to look like I did 20 lbs ago. Someone commented on one of my photos “T-Bone is the only person I know who is working against visible abs.” And, yes, sometimes I do post things for shock value. But, I look better at 152 lbs than I did at 132 lbs, and I am physically stronger and mentally more healthy now. Fact. And, yet, my new gym nickname is “Big Girl,” haha.

I’m pretty sure I am going to move up to the 75kg weight class after my meet next week. I can only imagine what all the ab whores will think of me then.

  6. ^

A possibly better question is “who cares what they think?” You become a higher value target (because you are happy and doing what makes you happy), but because you are connected to them personally, they’ll probably be jealous of you.

  7. I’ll never understand why people (including some guys) want to be so thin, weak and famished that they would be in the first round of casualties in an outbreak of seasonal allergies.

“I have done yoga pilates, jogging weight lifting…”
–something tells me she thought she was doing weight lifting but was really doing silly bullshit. It’s an educational issue.

“She’s against types of exercise like running that involve repetetive movements. That will bulk your muscles.”
    –yeah, it’s an educational issue.

She also only drank by my count like 40 ounces of water (maybe 60 depending on if she’s counting the tea in her water count). That’s pretty low if you ask me.

Best comment: “I don’t understand why hollywood women so desperately want to look like boys.”

    Cameron Diaz > Gwyneth Paltrow

Diaz is pretty ugly without makeup and has gotten real skinny. Diaz in “The Mask” is not the Diaz of today.

  8. i linked this on another board and the women there are in an uproar. defending her, how good she looks and how her body type is naturally that way…..i just lol.

    What forum?

  9. Note the article’s author came to this common sense conclusion –

When I started the Tracy Anderson Method I was a massive fan and I wanted to tell everyone that I had found the holy grail of dieting. But now I see how wrong I was.

I briefly scanned the comments on that website, they were all negative toward the Tracy Anderson diet.

Note the author also said –

I went on the forum to voice concerns about the wisdom of the diet and was told sternly to ‘trust in Tracy Anderson’ and ‘believe in The Method’.
I noticed my comments were later removed.

Obviously Kool Aid is an essential component of the diet.

  10. This is neither 70’s nor big. I do not approve. I hope that this post is followed by a feature on some bearded behemoth, deadlifting massive weight and returning the universe to its proper balance.

Her trap development is the worst part.

  11. I linked this on fb, dumbass I play vball with posted this:
this is crazy talk… skinny is hot… i don’t want my women big and strong… if I wanted to have sex with a big and strong person I’d have sex with a man… but that would be gross. There is a reason fat people aren’t on magazine covers… we don’t just want what we look up to… we want skinny… because that’s hot

When the fuck did I say I wanted a big woman? Strong girls are of normal proportions, and they don’t need my ass to come open the pickle jar. Every girl I know that deadlifts 225 and over is good looking, and most of them are little. Go tell that guy to fuck himself, he’s the reason women want to eat nothing and be skinny.

  12. The biggest travesty to me is that the famished body type that “they” have made popular and so sought after amongst females is not only unappealing to the eyes but more so extremely unappealing to the touch. Would you prefer smooth soft skin or pointy-ass bones? Hmmm…tough decision.

  13. As a man, I don’t weigh and measure women. I only do that when I’m fishing.

Yet, in both instances, I’ll throw back the scrawny ones and only bring home what my boat can carry.

  15. 1. I hate you for linking that no make up site because i looked at the pics. Thus lowering my test levels by 3%. (Dont worry i then punched my friend in the head to cancel that out)

    2. I cant believe women do this. I really just wanna get a syringe and stab them with confidence serum. (Note while googleing how to spell serum ive found you can buy “Truth serum” for 5 bucks)

    3. I’ve finally convinced my girlfriend to eat more protein (ha) but really I did. Now i just need her to find time to do some proper squats…

  17. emaciated is not attractive

    thin is definitely attractive

athletic (like gymnastics, not softball) is attractive

i will always feel this way no matter how big or small i am, but for the record, i am right at 200lbs at 5’9″, so i’m not “skinny”

You just like “thin” girls because they make you feel bigger in comparison.

    –Justin

  18. What is a “thin” girl? I was watching the powerliftingtv youtube channel and their looked to be plenty of “thin” girls lifting in the -90kg class.

Then your perception of body image isn’t distorted.

    –Justin

  19. I thought the article wasn’t bad, ‘specially since she came to the logical conclusion.

    the Nakai chick rocks.

And MkingW’s fishing analogy is genious!

I’m unimpressed with your analysis. She’s an an idiot for attempting to try it out. You don’t have to be educated in strength, conditioning, or fitness to realize that not eating solid food for a week with barely any calories is bad. She’s just a sheep following someone because they are a “celebrity”.

    –Justin

  20. Best quote:
“Tracy is totally against other forms of cardio, such as running, where you repeat your movements over and over. That, she says, will bulk muscles.”

I’m going to start replacing squatting with running so I can get my bulk on

  21. @Justin, will pass the go fuck yourself message with pleasure. I constantly tell him that when he publicly writes about “fat” girls, virtually every girl that reads it will assume he means them most likely. It’s even worse than that though, he coaches high school girls vball. What group of people on earth is more unsure of themselves in general and more sensitive about comments regarding body image? Probably none.

  22. I’m probably setting myself up here, but here goes anyway…
I worked out with Tracy Anderson.
    For nearly a year.
Now, in my defense, this was before the crazy became psychotic- it was more like pilates and less like a cult.
Also I was in a cast up to my mid thigh from a double compound fracture in a motorcycle accident.
It was exercise I could do totally missing one limb.

Even with all of that, even not having a leg to stand on- literally- I still progressed past the “1 or 2 springs of resistance” on the machine she developed and never used less than 5-10 pound dumbells (when everyone else was using 1 or 2#s.)

First the teachers were excited by how strong I got, then they started telling me I might get too big if I kept it up. Never following her 1 glass of chocolate milk, 2 meals of fat free 4oz. protein and a handful of greens a day diet helped.
Eventually I quit (with money still in my “account’) because I was so bored and there was no more weight left to add.
I since learned to walk again and now squat over 200#. My ass has never been cuter and I’ve never liked my body more.
I work “on screen.” Every one knows I’m bigger than the girls who look like they might die. So far, no one has told me to lose weight.
A Tracy Anderson Success Story ;)

I’ve met Rachel, and I concur. I’d wouldn’t call it a success story with her name in it though!

  23. Julie Bowen of Modern Family needs to eat a couple of cheese burgers. She appears to be a natural ectomorph body type but looks like someone with an eating disorder. Now Sofia Vergara on the other hand…that’s a 70’s big woman hall of famer.
